In the garden the chrysanthemums were dying like desires when you came. Calmly you laughed, like little white flowers. Silent, I made a sweetest song out of the darkness deep within me and the petals sing it up above you. - Kostas Karyotakis

Shearwater’s new album = just what I needed to listen to at the end of this weird and hectic day.  Check it out if you haven’t listened to it yet.  It’s great.

Another wonderful Greek class tonight!  About half the class was there this time.  Perhaps the rain deterred some people.  Anyway, we went over a few basic verbs and learned some other sounds (double consonants and the like) and new vocabulary.  I feel like I know so much already, but I’ve only just begun.  Alright, I’m going to work on lesson plans before going to bed now.  Kalinixta,...

I started looking for jobs on Craigslist again.  I think I want to work at some silly job like retail or whatever for now.  Something where I’m not afraid of messing up that much.  Not that those jobs don’t matter, but I feel like there is less pressure.  You know? In other news…I’m going to see Florence + the Machine in May!!!!!

You win some, you lose some.  Today I lost, but that’s okay.  I’ll still keep doing what I enjoy and no one can take that away from me.  Also, I’m off to Austin this weekend and it should be pretty fun.  I am excited that the VAC is showing Diana Al-Hadid’s work in their new spring exhibitions.  Her sculptures look so beautifully delicate yet powerful at the same time, and...
