Ella, Ella, Ella…le sigh.
Sleep schedule is all messed up. This is not good.
Back in sweet Texas-land…oh, it feels great to be back.
Everyone, let’s hang out!
How To Spend The Holidays In Indiana
1. Survive the 17+ hour drive up there and hardly sleep at all except when you do.
2. Go to the Indianapolis Museum of Art for three hours, get separated from the rest of the family, only to find them again on the third floor while the parents are on the first. Visit the gift shop. Remind yourself why you never go into museum gift shops because everything is so overpriced.
3. Eat at one of...
Mmm…is there anything better than raw honey? I can think of a few things, but not much.
Made it to Tipton! There is no snow, so that is good. More updatez later…
Mostly packed. I’ll just grab a toothbrush in Indianapolis. Let’s get this show on the road. High 40s, low 30s here we come!!!
Semi-stressful day, but things are looking up now that I have a night of baking ahead of me.
Sinatra at the opera…
I was thinking about children’s movies with rodents in them the other day and how scary they are. You guys remember The Secret of NIMH? Man, that was some messed up stuff.
Saw some awesome ladies at the zine fest in Austin today (you know who you are!), stopped by the VAC for a bit, went to Toy Joy and ate some ravioli at Milto’s. Then I dropped some zine fliers off at Spiderhouse before it was time to head back home. A lovely albeit very brief trip to Austin was had by all (ME).
You know that feeling where your body is tired, but your mind is not? Yeah, that’s me right now.
In other news…I went to an event for Houston Magazine this evening with a friend and then we went to go eat at the Raven Grill where we ran into someone who we went to high school with. CRAZY. What’s even more crazy is that he remembered me, or at least he said he did. You go through life thinking you don’t even make a blip on some people’s radar and then, BAM. ...
Rick Perry, go drown yourself.
OH…I’m sorry, was that too harsh?
Sequined pants?!? Oh wow. →
Twelve Days of Christmas Memories
Christmas Memory #1
I faintly remember going to Indiana and playing in the snow.
Christmas Memory #2
I remember that one year when I received only dolls for Christmas, but what I really wanted were the “toys meant for boys.”
Christmas Memory #3
I remember playing Apples to Apples with my cousins and all of us laughing uncontrollably.
Christmas Memory #4
I remember going to...
This weekend was a nice one although it went by way too fast. I went to some new places and familiar ones. Cafe Luz is a good coffee shop to read in on a Saturday morning and the baristas were really friendly. I will definitely be going back. Maybe to take a cooking class there also.
I need to start a new “To Do” list notebook because I wrote on the last page the other day. ...
Louder than sirens, louder than bells, sweeter than heaven and hotter than hell
Weird days are sometimes the best days. Things to look forward to this weekend:
1. “Craftidote” at Antidote
2. Rachael Yamagata LIVE! Never thought I would see this amazing, amazing woman live ever, but it’s happening!
3. Going back to Apple to start the Time Machine process so I can get my baby back to it’s old self…
Biscuits with butter and jam for breakfast. Mmm…
